Virtually FolkEast

Virtually FolkEast was our very own online offering streamed on Sunday 23rd August . It was groundbreaking  in that part of the Live streamed event was Virtually FolkEast – Live , an afternoon and early evening concert that took place , in front of a live audience.

As well as the live performances there were pre recorded contributions online from artists and special films from the Art Arcade makers and festival stages  – Soapbox , Broad Roots, Sanctuary and Dance tent as well as a few bits in between.

East Suffolk Council  granted a licence to go ahead with not only one but two live concerts over the FolkEast weekend. This meant that we were able to run two identical concerts so that we were able to bring live music to a total of four hundred people on Saturday and Sunday.

We would like to thank everyone who booked a pitch  – for trusting us to provide a safe COVID secure environment in which to enjoy live music, and to everyone who watched on line in spite of the technical glitches!
