Free Shuttle Bus and Train Information
FolkEast are working with the East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership, who are supporting a free shuttle bus service between Wickham Market Train Station (located in the village of Campsea Ashe) and the festival site at Glemham Hall.
The East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership is an independent association which works closely with local authorities, volunteers and rail operator Greater Anglia to both support and encourage use of the railways running between Ipswich and Lowestoft, and Ipswich and Felixstowe.
The Halesworth Area Community Transport (HACT) Bus will be shuttling festival goers back and forth from Wickham Market Train Station to the site at Glemham Hall. For fuel efficiency, it may wait until enough passengers are arrive before setting off. Should you find yourself with some time to spare in Campsea Ashe, there is a lovely cafe at the station for hot drinks and cake (open 8am – 4pm), and a small village shop just a short walk away.
The Shuttle bus service will be operating from 2pm on Thursday 15th August through before midday on Monday 19th August 2024. The bus will operate a request-only service before 9am and after 7pm every day. There will be signage and contact details displayed at the station, as well as at the bus stop and Information Tent on the festival site.
Please note: in 2022 and 2023 there were a couple of days of strike action and / or rail maintenance. As far as we know (fingers crossed) all looks well for 2024! We recommend checking the Greater Anglia website for for up to date information on any changes to the timetable and bus replacements closer to the festival weekend.,
