Keeping us all Safe

In order to be able to operate a safe and secure festival for everyone involved we are asking you to please read and implement the following protocol in line with our Covid Mitigation Policy. If you have any concerns or would like to discuss any of the mitigation we are putting in place, please do contact us at info@folkeast.co.uk   Subject: Covid Protocol Query.

This year, FolkEast will be different, with a re-imagined arena and two open-air stages. We may not all feel comfortable being amongst large, or even small, groups of people, so please respect each other’s space and concerns and help us to deliver a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

Thank you, in advance, for your co-operation and here’s to a much-deserved weekend of wonderful music, art, food, drink and all in Good Company[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Before You Travel

Like many other events, we are advising all FolkEasters to self test 72 hours before arriving at the festival. This will give you time, if you have a positive test result, to follow Government guidelines and take a PCR test. If the first test is negative, do a second lateral flow test 24 hours before arrival.

If you do test positive for Covid or are experiencing symptoms, it is important that you do not attend the festival. We will of course refund you if you are unable to join us.

If you are joining us for the weekend, please bring a spare test kit with you. These are free and can be ordered online or over the counter at most pharmacies.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]

On Arrival

At the Box office, we will ask you to show your current Covid status.

Where possible, we encourage people to use the NHS App (not Track and Trace) which can log all lateral flow and PCR test results and where applicable, Covid vaccination records.

We know that this is not possible for everyone so , instead, you could bring:

  • your printed vaccination card showing proof of double vaccination and ID or
  • a date stamped photo of your negative lateral flow test or
  • you can sign a Declaration of Health at the Box Office

If at all possible, please bring printed/paper proof, or have your text/email ready, to speed things up on entry.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Feeling ill at the Festival

If you, or anyone in your party, start to display covid symptoms, please contact the festival’s Covid Hotline.

The number will be on the information sheet given to you when you arrive and on signs around the site.

It is important that you and everyone in your close party follow the advice given and we will be there to support and help in any way we can.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Face coverings and Hygiene

Wearing face coverings in an outdoor setting is not mandatory, but consideration and respect should be shown to those who wish to wear one.

Our team will be wearing masks when in close proximity to visitors such as at the Box Office, Information Point and in Production. There will be some areas on site where we will ask you to wear one to keep our contributors safe.

There will be a hand washing station and several hand sanitising points around the site for you to use. We suggest you bring your own supply of hand sanitiser as well.

We are so looking forward to seeing you again![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]
