“Guided by a sense of mutual exploration… an intimate, contemporary reinvention of the source material.” The Guardian
For many FolkEast festival goers one of the highlights of 2015 was Leveret’s joyous set in the Glemham Hall garden marquee.
Now they return to the Glemham Estate, but this time, for an intimate performance in the warmth of the beautiful panelled main hall.
Leveret is a new trio made up of three of England’s finest folk musicians in an exciting new collaboration.
Andy Cutting, an exceptional player of the melodeon, is joined by BBC Radio 2’s 2015 Folk Musician of the Year Sam Sweeney (Bellowhead’s fiddle player) and Rob Harbron, who has virtually reinvented the English concertina. All three are regarded as masters of their instrument and have worked with a huge range of artists.
Leveret’s music is firmly rooted in the English tradition, but each performance is improvised, ensuring that no two shows are ever the same and each is a unique experience for the audience.
“Sublime, exquisite music – don’t miss them.” Martin Simpson
